What it’s
taken for.
And how good the evidence is.
| Taken for | Evidence | What the studies show |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | Some | Several trials report modest improvement on recall tests after about 12 weeks of daily use. Not every study agrees. |
| Focus and attention | Early | Results are mixed across studies and tests. |
| Calm under mental load | Early | A few small studies. Too little to rely on. |
| Instant exam-week boost | None | Where benefits were seen, they took around three months of daily use. |
Grades are our reading of published human trials on the ingredient, not tests of this product. Moderate: several controlled trials agree. Some: a few do. Early: small or preliminary. Traditional: long use, little trial data. None: nothing worth quoting. How we grade evidence
What the
research says.
Several trials report modest improvements on some memory tests after about 12 weeks. Not every study agrees. Stomach upset is a common complaint, and results from a specific extract do not establish the performance of another.

Who should check with a doctor first
Check with a doctor first if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a thyroid condition, or take regular medication.
Three questions.
Worth asking.
About any Brahmi product. Ours included.
- 01Bacosides measured by UV or by HPLC?
The UV method reads a much higher bacoside figure than HPLC does on the same extract. A label that says "50% bacosides" without a method may hold far less than you think.
- 02Bacopa or gotu kola, since both are sold as brahmi?
Two different plants are sold as brahmi in India: Bacopa monnieri and Centella asiatica (gotu kola). They are not the same herb.
- 03Heavy metals and mould toxins tested?
Bacopa grows in wet ground and readily takes up contaminants. Heavy metals and mould toxins should be tested on every batch.

Read the
fine print.
An independent report for each finished batch, with the lab, methods, measured values and limits. That’s our commitment.
This is an example of the information to inspect. No results, lab names or certificates have been invented.

A little more
to go on.
Why specify the measurement method?
A percentage needs context. Methods can measure different groups of compounds, so the method should be read alongside the figure.
Where can I inspect a batch report?
Every batch comes with its own independent lab report, published on this site under the batch number printed on the bottle. The layout shown on this page is an example, not a result.
How many capsules are in the bottle?
60 vegetarian capsules. The amount listed on this page is per capsule, not a personalised daily-use recommendation.
